A sleep disorder disrupts and disturbs your overall quality of life. It can affect a child, teen, adult, parent or senior citizen.
You might have a sleep disorder if:
  • Your snoring disturbs your bed partner
  • You have trouble falling asleep at night more than three times a week.
  • You wake up often during the night.
  • You feel tired throughout the day.
  • You find yourself falling asleep while driving, at work or in class.
  • You have an itchy, crawly feeling in your legs.
  • You wake up with a headache or a dry/sore throat.
Adrenal fatigue is a group of related signs and a syndrome that results when the adrenal glands function below the necessary level. Most commonly associated with intense or prolonged stress, it can also arise during or after acute or chronic infections, especially respiratory infections such as influenza, bronchitis or pneumonia. As the name suggests, its chief symptom is fatigue unrelieved by sleep.
  • disease states such as severe or recurrent infection or illness
  • physical stress such as surgery, poor nutrition, addiction, injury or exhaustion
  • emotional/psychological stress from relationships, work or other unavoidable situations
  • continual and/or severe environmental stress from toxic chemicals and pollutants
  • Vitamin A also helps skin glands make an oily substance called sebum. Sebum moisturizes the scalp and helps keep hair healthy .
  • B-vitamins or biotin help create red blood cells, which carry oxygen and nutrients to the scalp and hair follicles. These processes are important for hair growth.
  • vitamin C to create a protein known as collagen — an important part of hair structure.
  • Vitamin D may help create new follicles — the tiny pores in the scalp where new hair can grow .
  • vitamin E is an antioxidant that can prevent oxidative stress.
  • Iron helps red blood cells carry oxygen to your cells. This makes it an important mineral for many bodily functions, including hair growth.
  • Zinc plays an important role in hair tissue growth and repair. It also helps keep the oil glands around the follicles working properly.
  • Protein -Hair is made almost entirely of protein. Consuming enough is important for hair growth.
Hair loss is an extremely common occurrence and affects most people in varying degrees at some point in their lives. Hair loss can occur due to one or a mix of the following: severe stress, genetics, illnesses such as thyroid disease and anemia, nutritional changes, hormonal changes related to puberty, pregnancy and menopause, vitamin D deficiency, or side effects of strong medication (such as chemotherapy).
